LIVERPOOL, England (AP) — Ashley Young’s unfortunate own-goal denied Everton a sixth win in eight matches in all competitions and allowed Brighton to snatch a 1-1 draw at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Saturday.Ukraine defender Vitalii Mykolenko looked like being an unlikely match-winner with his first goal in 18 months until Kaoru Mitoma’s cross took a deflection off Young, Everton’s other fullback, with six minutes remaining.Having taken the lead in the seventh minute, Everton did a good job of keeping the visitors at bay — assisted by the VAR ruling out Lewis Dunk’s equalizer for offside and also a good save by Jordan Pickford to deny the visiting captain — and Sean Dyche’s team looked well set for its first back-to-back Premier League wins in 13 months.Everton ended up being disappointed with a draw against a team that finished sixth last season while Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi is still trying to work out why his team cannot convert possession into points.Th...NASCAR suffers embarrassing track design mistake during Truck Series championship

AVONDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Just hours after defending NASCAR’s officiating this season, the series was embarrassed by an error on the Phoenix Raceway surface that painted the restart zone in the wrong place for the Truck Series championship. The restart zone was at least 50 feet in the wrong place for Friday night’s crash-filled race, won by Christian Eckes in four overtimes. Ben Rhodes won his second Truck Series championship. NASCAR overnight repainted the restart zone in time for Saturday activity, which included qualifying for the Cup Series finale and the Xfinity Series championship. No definitive reason was given for the paint in the wrong spot and it was back to its 2022 location on Saturday. NASCAR did say it notified the Truck Series teams the restart zone was in the wrong spot and opted not to move it before the race. The race was lambasted by top Cup Series drivers for its messy completion, which included Carson Hocevar wrecking Corey Heim, which cost Heim the cha...Sheffield United scores penalty in 10th minute of stoppage time to earn first win in Premier League
